Baseball America reported last night that Jason Kipnis is returning to ASU. Kipnis was drafted by the Padres in the 4th round, and the dollar amount in negotiations was never close, with the sides reportedly being $600,000 away from each other. Kipnis recently finished playing in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Cotuit Kettleers, where he actually left the team after Game 1 of the finals after not being in the lineup.
