The News: Ken Whisenhunt has decided on his starter, for this weeks preseason finale.
Whisenhunt named Kurt Warner the starter siting the fact that he has had fewer snaps in the 3 previous games than Matt Leinart.
Warner will play the first few series behind the first string offensive line with Leinart coming in after. Leinart may see time behind the second string offensive line but that time will be limited according to Whisenhunt.
The View: It’s interesting to see Warner start the final preseason game. Whisenhunt says not to read too much into it but you almost have to. It seems as if this just puts Kurt one step closer to being named the full time starter. Barring an injury or Matt Leinart type performance you can probably pencil in Warner as the number 1 QB come September 7.
