Lingerie and football? Where do we get season tickets?

I don’t know how we missed this, but another professional football team is coming to the Valley of the Sun. Welcome the Phoenix Scorch of the, gulp, Lingerie Football League.

The Lingerie Bowl has, well been enhanced, and now next fall we’ll see the birth of the Lingerie Football League, featuring 10 teams including the Phoenix Scorch. Perusing the league’s official website (for research reasons only) we noticed that the Scorch are one of the few teams to actually have players on their roster. This makes sense, as the Valley has long been considered a hotbed of Lingerie Football talent.

We also noticed that 9 of the 10 franchises blatantly rip off logos from NFL counterparts in their respective cities. Uh, that’s not a good idea. The WNBA “borrowed” logo and team name concepts from the NBA, but one small point to remember is THE NBA OWNS THE WHOLE FRIGGIN’ LEAGUE!

I’m eagerly awaiting the opening of the online store, so I can buy my wife a replica jersey.

Look for the LFL to have legal issues and fold kickoff in Fall of 2009.

I’ve never rooted for holding penalties before…now I think I will.
