Two-time MVP, 3 time all NBA first team, 6 time all-star and leader of the most prolific offense in basketball over the last 4 seasons. Steve Nash has everything, everything but his own shoe.
While guys like Stephon Marbury, Ben Wallace and Gilbert Arenas had their own signature shoes, Nash has been stuck sharing his “kicks” with the likes of Jason Kidd, Larry Hughes and Tony Parker. Thanks to Nike though, Nash no longer has to have his soles resemble those of his western conference foes Kidd and Parker.
Nash’s new Nike Zoom MVP, which will make its debut this season, has as unique a look as his court vision. As the Nike fantatic blog Nikeblog.com put it;
“The shoe is about halfway between a mid and a low top, the midsole sort of resembles the Air Max 90 running.”
In non-shoe loving language, that means that the sneakers aren’t exactly your conventional basketball apparel. Good thing Nash wasn’t a conventional MVP.
