Eric Byrnes fights scorpion with a plunger

By Greg Esposito, October 8th, 2008 5:38 PM

Eric Byrnes was fighting something other than the injury bug on Wednesday morning. He was fighting a scorpion.

During an interview with ESPN Radio’s Colin Cowherd Byrnes revealed that he was stung by a scorpion this morning after he attempted to kill it with a plunger.

I don’t know about you but I really hope that the FSN cameras for The Show were rolling. The visual of Eric dancing around trying to avoid the scorpion while trying to bludgeon it with a plunger is priceless.

It sounds like he must have taken a cue from teammate Mark Reynolds and whiffed one to many times.

Well, I am not sure if a plunger is the best way to kill a scorpion…

It is kinda hard to squash an insect that can fit through small cracks and crevices with pliable rubber. I kind of feel like he deserved to get stung with that type of counter attack…
