Amare Stoudemire Wants To Move To China…….

02/1/08 10:55 AM

Amare Stoudemire wants to move to ChinaIt’s once again time for the NBA All Star game. Too bad the starting lineups tend to be a giant popularity contest that doesn’t reflect a players stats for the season. Case and point the fact that neither Steve Nash nor Amare Stoudemire will appear in the starting lineup.

Sure I’m a bitter Suns fan and biased as hell when it comes to this but did you see the discrepancy in the votes between Amare and Yao? There was over a 700,000 vote difference between Yao in first place and Amare in second. The large margin prompted Amare to say this to the Arizona Republic’s Paul Coro:

“I got to move to China,” Stoudemire said of what must do to be voted in as a starter.

“I don’t think it’s ever going to happen, as long as Yao Ming is in the NBA.”

Maybe you should move to China Amare that or the Phoenix fans will have to learn how to stuff the ballot box a hell of a lot better than they did for you this year. Or we are willing to help you produce a Chris Bosh-esk video just give us a call ;)

Come on, there’s no reason to care about the All-Star Game. (not sarcastically) Oh, wait, perhaps you’re one of those fans who, unlike me, is not only a Suns fan but still an NBA fan. So I guess you might still want to see talented players who don’t necessarily get along put on a show whose final score means nothing. And I know this has probably never happened, but it’s possible that some player could tear his ACL in thet game. What a waste that would be.

I just want to say, about the Fakers’ big trade, that Pau Gasol doesn’t scare me, for the simple reason that he’s at least as poor a defender as Amare Stoudemire was until recently. I think the worst case scenario, if the Suns meet the Fakers in the playoffs (and they will) is a series like the 2006 Suns-Clippers series in which the Clippers’ tall and strong frontline made the games harder than they might otherwise have been.
But the Kurt Thomas trade, one of the worst in Suns history, would really, really haunt them against the Fakers from now on. Boris Diaw should have been traded, not Kurt Thomas.

I think it’s even better to get in the All-Star game voted in by the coaches. As for the Fans’ vote, let’s just say we could have an all Chinese starting five anytime now.

I am a bit scared by the Gasol trade. Paul is a very good player and once Bynum comes back could give the Fakers one of the best starting five in the NBA.
Gasol has proved he can win big games with his national team.

Gasol does scare me. I mean the Lakers basically got him for nothing. It would be one thing if they had to trade a piece for him, but Kwame Brown was nothing but an overpaid moneypit.

I also agree that the Kurt Thomas trade will probably haunt this team, especially come playoff time. I don’t agree with that trade in the least bit. I understand Salary issues, but there are certain pieces of the team that are worth keeping even at financial costs.

They’ve got to use that trade exception! I don’t know if the Nets would just trade a player for money, but the Thomas exception is more than enough money to get Jamaal Magloire from the Nets, Or maybe Jason Collins. Eh?
