The Arizona Rattlers stay in the postseason was a short one, as they were defeated by the Grand Rapids Rampage 48-41 in the Wildcard round of the Arena Football Playoffs.

Rattlers head coach Kevin Guy must be a huge fan of Wally Pipp's manager Miller Huggins.
On Thursday Guy announced that quarterback Matt Sauk will start the remainder of the season for the Arizona Rattlers. Sauk replaced former starter Jeff Smoker two games ago after Smoker injured his shoulder.
Guy had great quote in reference to his decision.

The Arizona Rattlers and the Maricopa County Attorney's Office are joining forces to fight illegal prescription drug use in the state.
On June 21 before the Rattlers take on the Utah Blaze the team will host a prescription drug drive on the U.S. Airways Center plaza. The event starts at 5:00pm and will continue until the start of the game. In exchange for the prescription drugs fans will receive free 2008 [...]

Arizona Rattlers defensive back Terrance Joseph was named the Our Sports Central AFL Defensive Player of the Week. Joseph had 4 tackles, a fumble recovery and returned an interception for a touchdown in Arizona's 73-34 win over Kansas City on Sunday. The award was the first of the year for Joseph, and actually the first time this season a Rattlers' player has been recognized by Our Sports Central.
