Energy Building As NFL Fans Count Down Days To Start of Training Camps
I’ve seen a number of NFL fan sites counting down the days until the return of their favorite teams to training camps (as well as preparing for the partying). You can feel the energy building…
Quoting from a fun post written by Chris Harry of the Orlando Sentinel on the subject of camps and the upcoming NFL season:
“When you turn on the TV and find highlights of Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest as one of the lead items on ESPN, there can be no mistaking what time it is.
It’s time for some football.
And soon.
Thankfully, we’re only a week away from the NFL taking over sports pages and SportsCenter, with players scheduled to report for training camps in Miami and Cleveland next Sunday.
Teams will trickle in a few more each day after that, with all 32 sweating out two-a-day workouts by July 29… (For complete schedule of NFL Team training camp sites and report dates click here.)
The 2007 season ends Feb. 3 with Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Ariz. There will be a lot of hot dogs eaten between now and then, many by football fans. Thankfully, their consumption won’t be so closely chronicled as the ‘competition’ between Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi.”
