How To Make A Bowl Loss Bearable…. Get Engaged!

ASU wide receiver Chris McGaha, 21, proposed to his girlfriend of 3 years on Christmas day, just days before the Sun Devils got blown out by Texas in the Holiday bowl. When McGaha told friends he planned to propose in San Diego, they said he should take a cue from Boise State running back Ian Johnson, who popped the question to his girlfriend, cheerleader Chrissy Popadics, after their Fiesta Bowl win over Oklahoma last January.
” ‘I can’t be a copycat,’ McGaha said.
Instead, he took McCloe for a walk along the harbor at sunset Tuesday, got down on one knee and popped the question. Afterward, they took a carriage ride to celebrate.
‘It was a good week,’ McGaha said.”
Yeah, awesome week. I can’t think of anything better. Get embarrassed in front of a national audience in the bowl game that you were pissed about being demoted to in the first place, and sealing the deal on being suffocated for the rest of your life at the ripe age of 21. Wait, wait, wait…. I am being negative and judgmental. Getting married, jumping yourself into the biggest commitment ever at 21, and waking up to the same face for the next 75 years until the sweet release of death, is THE biggest joy in life I’ve heard. SO sweeeeeet to hear. The only thing that could make it better is to start popping out kids ASAP, Britney Spears style.

I graduated from University of Arizona. I am sport obsessed, and another of my favorite things would have to be traveling. I backpacked by myself through Australia and Fiji for almost 4 months… and would probably spend the rest of my life backpacking the world if that was at all possible. I have gone bungy jumping and sky diving- you’ve got to try them!
