One Down Fifteen to Go

After what was the possibly the worst first half of basketball this season the Suns bounced back in a big way in the second half. While Kobe Bryant looked like Michael Jordan in the first half he managed to prove why he isn’t a true MVP candidate by all but disappearing in the second half. While he finished with 39 points he had a whopping 1 assist. He forced up shots left and right in the third and fourth quarter and the credit for that has to go to the Suns coaching staff for making adjustments at the half.
Leandro Barbosa was the savior in this game and the Lakers have absolutely no answer for his speed. The Suns need to continue to exploit the mismatches that present themselves when Barbosa is on the floor and continue to get the ball into Amare. If they can do this from the start of the game then this series shouldn’t be as big of a struggle as today’s game proved to be.
The biggest thing that came out of today’s victory was the fact that the Suns played possibly the worst game they could have in the first three quarters and they still won the game by eight points and held the Lakers to only 87 points. The game plan as the series goes on? Same as the past two season let Kobe get his while the rest of the Lakers manage to get left in the cold
